Why are We UUs? Is this a religion? Why are we here?

Speaker:  Ruth Semrau

Huey Mitchell

There will be a UUFL space planning meeting Sunday morning March 17th.  9:30 – 10:30am. The object of this meeting will be to start identifying the future space requirements for the Fellowship. All interested individuals are invited to attend. Your ideas and recommendations will be welcomed.

If you are not able to attend, please send any comments via email.

Sandra McNeely

We are launching our new Religious Education Program: Tapestry of Faith to be taught by Alexandria Perez.  Parents can follow along by going to UUA.org, Ages and Stages, Children, Curricula; and then select the appropriate age group.

We are also looking for another RE worker if you know anyone who might be interested.

We are very excited about this and we welcome any and all comments/suggestions or questions which should be directed to Sandra McNeely, Chairperson of the Religious Education  Committee at smc43ster@gmail.com.

Carol West:

Want to be more involved at the Fellowship?  There are many different ways to help out:  greeting people as they arrive on Sunday morning, helping with the opening and closing of the buildings, and being a Lay Leader.

Talk with any Board member about what is needed and what you are interested in doing.

Barbara Cavin:

Next time you’re at the grocery store, pick up an extra can of tuna, jar of peanut butter, bag of rice, can of chili, or any other non-perishable food item and bring it with you to the Fellowship on Sunday, put it in the food basket in the lobby, and I will take it to Longview Community Ministries to help feed the poor and hungry of our community.
