Coming Back Upright
What’s the big deal with resurrection – coming back to upright? As a pilgrim, seeker, and heretic, Brenda will share some experiences and thoughts that have shaped her current response to that question.

A memorial service will be held at our Fellowship for Jessica Noble, a founding member of the UUFL, on April 7th at 11:00 AM. A light lunch, which will be served after the service, will provide additional time for sharing recollections of Jessica and reflecting on all she accomplished with her life.

John Sims, UU Fellowship of Tyler
Friends:
Time once again to collect money for the March of Dimes March for Babies.
Some exciting news: this year, we will have a walk in Tyler for the first time since about 2010; it will be April 21st at Rose Rudman Park. UUFT has had a walk team for a number of years, and we raise money for various projects aimed at helping moms and families experience the joy of healthy babies. The Longview UU Fellowship has partnered with us for several years and is considering doing likewise this year.
As in the past, you can go online to learn more, donate, or join our team. I would suggest that you start by clicking on the link www.marchforbabies.org/john_sims_tyler or typing/pasting it into your browser. That will take you to my personal fundraising page. Once there, if you click on the Tyler-Longview UU Fellowship link directly underneath my name, you’ll be directed to our team page. That’s where you can register to be on our team and start collecting money on your own.
If you’d simply like to donate, you may do it online through any team member or bring a check to church made out to “March of Dimes” and place it in the collection basket. If you’d like to be on the team but don’t care to register online, that is fine — simply let me know, and I’ll be glad to explain your other options.
If you donate and need a tax receipt, please advise, and I will see that one is provided.
Any questions? Just see me at church or contact me by email; the address is johnmsims71852@yahoo.com if you want to do the latter.
Thanks,
John Sims

Next time you’re at the grocery store, pick up an extra can of tuna, jar of peanut butter, bag of rice, can of chili, or any other non-perishable food item and bring it with you to the Fellowship on Sunday and put it in the food basket in the lobby and I will take it to Longview Community Ministries to help feed the poor and hungry of our community.
