*Pot Luck Sunday—YEEHAW! Plan to stay after the service for another delicious meal and lots of good conversation. We always have plenty, but if you are into cooking or purchasing (chocolate pie is always welcome!), we will be happy to put your contribution on the table!
Announcements Made at August 20 Service
*Kipsie–A group called ALEC is working for the repeal of the 17th Amendment. The Seventeenth Amendment (Amendment XVII) to the United States Constitution established the popular election of United States Senators by the people of the states. If this issue is of concern to you, check it out and learn what you can do either to support or reject the appeal.
*Susan–Remember to get a number from the Flower Raffle Box prior to the service if you would like a chance to take the bouquet home. You are welcome to use the vase to carry the flowers home, but please do remember to bring it back!
*Tom – I am working with Steve Crane to get the Longview Interfaith Alliancefunctioning again. We believe the time is ripe to reestablish this important group. Stand by.
