UUFL
Monthly Board Meeting
Following the service, the Board will conduct its April meeting. All are welcome to attend. We appreciate your input.
*Back Pack Program
The UUFL Board is once again asking members to contribute what and when they can to Back Pack Programthrough the end of 2017, including the summer months. Please make your checks to UUFL with Backpack on the memo line or put your cash in a labeled envelope. Our treasurer will provide a monthly check to J. L. Everhart Elementary, the one nearest to us, in the Longview ISD. This program provides non-perishables for children at the poverty level so that they have food to eat over the weekend.
*March for Babies
If you wish to contribute to this effort, please write March for Babies on the Memo Line of your check, or place the money in an envelope marked for this purpose. We have had only one contribution thus far. The campaign ends on April 23. This was formerly known as The March of Dimes, established orginallt to help prevent birth defects

*Barbara Cavin
Bring a can of tuna, jar of peanut butter, bag of rice or can of chili (any non-perishables) to put in the food basket in the lobby. I will take our collection to Longview Community Ministries to help feed the poor and hungry of our community.
*Lonnie Hogan
A few weeks ago, UUFL received a letter from this gentleman, asking for information about the Fellowship which was sent to him. He wrote again explaining that he is in prison for a twelve-year sentence and will complete the seventh in May. Mr. Hogan stated that he has no family and would appreciate contact with the outside world. That letter is posted on the Bulletin Board in the Lobby. His address is
