“The Stages of Faith”
Speaker: Ruth Semrau
A scholarly approach, to what seems to be too mysterious to understand, can provide a rational explanation for what seems to be the irrationality of faith.

UUFL
*Ladies Lunch
All UUFL ladies, member or friends, are invited to gather at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 1 at Panera on the Loop for some food and fun. This is a monthly event occurring the first Saturday of every month. (P.S. Men are welcome as well.)
*Backpack Program
The UUFL Board has voted to again support the Back Pack program by asking members to provide whatever contributions they can to the program through the end of 2017. Our contributions will continue through the summer months as well. Please make your checks to UUFL with Backpack on the memo line. Any amount will be appreciated. The cost to provide food for one student for 36 weeks is $160.00. Our treasurer will provide a monthly check to J. L. Everheart Elementary, the one nearest to us, in the Longview Independent School District.
*March for Babies
UUFL will join with UUTyler to collect donations in support of the Dallas walk which is April 22 on the lawn at Reunion Tower. If you wish to contribute to this effort, please write March for Babies on the Memo Line of your check, or place the money in an envelope marked for this purpose. We have three more Sundays in which to help,
*Search for Pianist
The Board has determined that it would be beneficial to the congregation to hire a paid pianist for our Sunday services. If you happen to know of anyone who might be interested in such a position, please contact Carol West.
*Programs
If you have any recommendations or suggestions, or if you would be willing to present a program, please contact Carol West by email. You may, instead, wish to put your idea(s) in the binder provided in the lobby.
*Barbara Cavin
Please consider bringing a can of tuna, jar of peanut butter, bag of rice or can of chili (any non-perishables) to put in the food basket in the lobby. I will take the collection to Longview Community Ministries to help feed the poor and hungry of our community.
