In the Garden
Speaker: Rev. Sam Schaal
Sam is a Unitarian Universalist minister from Dallas now working in the nonprofit social sector. He has served multiple UU congregations as a Transition Minister, helping congregations find new vitality in the time between settled ministers.
On this Sunday before Valentine’s Day we take a new look at an old couple: Adam and Eve. In this old mythological story we will explore themes of the relationship between men and women, whether or not we are meant to toil (and from that some unique theological themes of historic Unitarianism and Universalism), the fall (or not) of humanity, and evolution. And maybe a few other topics.
Monthly Board Meeting: The Board will meet immediately following the Service and the Discussion. All are welcome to attend.
Programs—As the new V.P. of the UUFL Board, Carol West will be engaging speakers/programs for the current year. If you have any recommendations or suggestions, or if you would be willing to present a program, please contact Carol at cmwest2012@gmail.

Next time you’re at the grocery store, pick up an extra can of tuna or jar of peanut butter or bag of rice or can of chili and bring it with you and put it in the food basket in the lobby and I will take it to Longview Community Ministries to help feed the poor and hungry of our community.
REMINDER
The City of Longview has partnered with local businesses to offer glass recycling of bottles and jars at several drop-off locations throughout the community.
At each location, glass bottles and jars may be deposited into 95-gallon carts with yellow lids; however, other kinds of glass such as lights bulbs, mirrors, and auto glass cannot be accepted.
